An English county, 47 miles in length, and 30 in breadth; bounded on the W. by Cambridgeshire; on the N. by Norfolk; on the S. by Essex; and on the E. by the German Ocean. The air is generally wholesome, but the soil is various; on the-coast it is sandy, and there are several small hills, which yield hemp, pease, and rye.
