9. Usk-Cwmbran Solid & Drift
Some areas of outstanding geological interest warrant maps greater detail than is shown on the 1:50 000 series geological maps. For these areas the BGS have published a series of maps at 1:25 000 scale, based on the Ordnance Survey National Grid sheets.
Maps are normally available in both flat and folded formats.
For some of these maps, associated explanatory booklets are also published. These are A5 paperbacks, and are illustrated with black and white diagrams and photographs.
S = Solid
D = Drift
S&D = Solid & Drift
